If you are a salesperson, maybe you can offer recommendations or tips on a topic that this person may be interested in.

Keep in mind that it’s not just business-life connections that you want to make. You now have a license to expand your social network. Contacts within your professional and social communities are onlyreaching for their circleof friendsat type of event or formal venue. They will also be looking for opportunities to exchange referrals for each other’s services, which can lead to win-win scenarios. It may involve inviting a few of your old clients to their annual reunion. You can also invite your client to a batch of events that will help her to expand her network and meet more people. These types of opportunities are only going to be available to you if you first get out of your box and become a networker. Focus on creating tunnels of connections to make yourself a powerhouse in a very competitive business.

Get in the health food store to get more health tips. The people in the health food store will be able to tell you what types of healthy food they are eating.

Even though during the week-end out of town, be away from your shop. You want to be associated with people that will be a positive influence to you.

Make sure you follow up on every action. Immediate action is better than the small gestures that will take place.
